Hermitage is a tribute to nature’s endless drive to survive. Life indeed finds a way. It always has and always will. Adaptation, evolution, fortification. As with any artwork, there’s a number of ways to look at this painting and for me, these qualities were on my mind when I made Hermitage and still are when I look at it.
